“I feel very lucky to have found Ia's Learning Tree (and its owner Teona)! A friend recommended it to me and our older son thrived there. Not only are the teachers warm and loving but it's very well run and they have extra activities like music and yoga. Our older son is still friends with many of the kids that he attended day care with, which speaks volumes. We were so happy with Ia's Learning Tree that we just started sending our second son there, who is 6 months old. Like his brother, he's very happy at drop off/pick up and is doing really well. I have nothing but positive things to say!”

“As parents, we spent a lot of time searching for the right childcare for our two children. We were so lucky to find Ia’s! Our kids have been there since they were 4 months old and we could not be happier. It is a huge blessing to know that our children are safe and taken care of by kind teachers who truly care about them. In addition to that, they learn so much every day. We are constantly amazed by the words and skills that they come home with, like our two-year-old counting to ten and showing us ‘telescope’ by saying it and making one with his hands.”

“It's never easy to leave your child in someone else's care but from the very first day we have had such a sense of comfort and security when we drop our daughter off at Ia's. We know that she will spend her day with people who truly care for her and take the time to know her individual needs. For example, we had a difficult potty training experience and we were so impressed with the compassion and thoughtfulness from Teona and the other teachers--they really guided us through it. We would absolutely recommend Ia's for anyone looking to have their child in a warm, safe, and playful childcare environment.”

“My son joined Ia’s when he was 9 months old. From the beginning, Teona was incredibly flexible with us. All the teachers including Ia herself are so warm and we see that they take such good care of our son. He attends part time and we have steadily increased the number of days that he goes. He has so much fun and the activities are so enriching. He will be moving on in about 9 months because of his age and I am already so sad that he won’t be in this loving environment anymore!”

As first-time parents who welcomed a child at the start of the pandemic, we approached the childcare search with quite a bit of trepidation. It’s difficult to transition to daycare under normal circumstance; after being in lock down with our baby for nearly 10 months, it felt even more challenging. We chose Ia’s Learning Tree because it came highly recommended by the Park Slope Parents community, and it has been one of the best decisions we’ve made for our son. He has absolutely thrived, and made the most wonderful bonds with other children and teachers. I am so grateful for the love and care everyone there has shown him over the last few years.-

Ia’s Learning Tree has amazing caregivers that clearly love their jobs and love the kids. The kids do yoga and have music once a week in addition to a play-based learning experience.
During the pandemic, Teona and her staff always went the extra mile to be sure our little ones were happy, healthy & safe.
My child loved his time at Ia’s. He waves every time we pass by! He met his best friends in the whole world there. Bliss -

We couldn't be happier having our son at Ia's Learning Tree on 8th Ave and 8th St. He has been there for almost a year and a half now, since he was four months old. He loves going there each day, and it's a great group of kids with him. All our teachers seem genuinely excited to see him each morning; it gives us tremendous peace of mind. Teona is also wonderfully communicative and accommodating in managing the whole daycare operation. My wife and I talk often about how lucky we feel to have him spend his days in such a loving and supportive learning environment.

Teona and her team of wonderful teachers have been an absolute delight. What attracted us to this program were the great communication, regular music classes, and abundant outdoor play on the premises. All of these features have remained excellent throughout our daughter's time at Ia's, from 8 months old to now over two. Teona is very thoughtful about her approach, and she went above and beyond to work our daughter's frequent and long medical appointments into their schedule. We never worried that she wasn't getting excellent care, including for her severe food allergies. Our daughter absolutely loves her teachers and is excited to go to school every day. She rarely turns around to say goodbye.

“We were recommended Ia's Learning Tree by friends of ours for our 3 month old daughter in anticipation of returning to work. The friend that recommended them said, "I feel like the women here were part of my family." After 3.5 years of care for our daughter, I can honestly say the same. They all fell in love with my daughter and she fell in love with them. We made lasting friendships with the women there, their children, and the fellow parents whose children became lifelong friends to our daughter. There are multiple locations in the Park Slope area so finding one in walking distance is easy. They also aim to group similar age groups together to keep the children engaged. Most locations have a backyard for plenty of outdoor time and the location we were at had (2) music teachers come a week. Pictures are sent each day as an update which is super helpful during those first few weeks apart from your newborn. Our family isn't close and often visits from Grandparents were few and far between. However, Ia's became our New York family for our daughter and we are forever and ever grateful.”
